We track the journey of packaging from resident to recycler using Honest Mark labelling, an NFC tag on the bin and the TrashBack mobile app.
The user accumulates recyclables with the Honest Mark label — PET bottles, aluminium cans, glass, household chemicals
An information board with an NFC tag is installed at the collection point. The TrashBack app scans the tag and the labels on the waste — waste is personalised
After scanning, the recyclables go into the container and Ecoins are credited to the user's account — spend with partners or exchange for recycled goods
