A modular waste container site delivered factory-ready: a CNC-cut light-gauge steel frame, a recycled-polymer façade and a built-in digital layer for waste tracking, resident motivation and site-condition monitoring.
The site is what people judge the waste reform by
A resident does not see sorting plants or recycling statistics. They see the site by their home. By it they judge both the progress of the reform and how the city is kept.
Litter piles, overflow and dirt devalue separate collection: “it all gets taken away in one truck anyway”.
The resident has neither a material incentive to sort nor a way to report a problem and see the result.
There is no objective data on the state of sites: the information comes from the very organisations that are the subject of the assessment.
Sites lose their look within 3–4 seasons, and the improvement budget is spent a second time.
A durable frame
Light-gauge steel, galvanising with treated cut edges, CNC factory precision, riveted assembly on site. No welding — it destroys the zinc coating and creates the first corrosion spots.
Factory-ready
The profile is roll-formed on a CNC line from a file, pre-perforated. Assembled with bolts and rivets, with no welding or fitting on site — the result does not depend on the crew's skill.
Any footprint at the price of a standard one
Geometry is set by a file and no tooling is needed: a 3-bin site and an 8-bin site with a cut-out for utilities cost the same. Custom configuration for a constrained plot is available.
Flat packaging, 1–2 day installation
A kit of about 1.2 m³ versus 4 m³ for a welded structure — delivered by an ordinary carrier to any region. No wet processes: installation is possible in winter and the yard is not dug up for three weeks.
Estimated service life 15–25 years
Thanks to galvanising, isolation from concrete at the support nodes and the absence of welds, which corrode first.
A recycled-polymer façade
The 390×390 mm façade cassettes are made from recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE). The feedstock is bottles of household chemicals and cosmetics, canisters, caps, containers and industrial process waste.
Through-coloured
There is no coating to lose. A chip or scratch does not expose another material and does not lead to corrosion.
Does not corrode
The polymer is inert to moisture and de-icing agents and keeps its impact strength at sub-zero temperatures.
Repair one at a time
A damaged cassette weighing about 1.7 kg is replaced with one hand in minutes — no contractor, no cost estimate.
Custom identity without tooling
Changing the pattern needs no new mould. Three base colours: graphite, dark green, terracotta. A city or district identity — from a single site.
Fire cut-off
A continuous galvanised backing beneath the cassettes is a structural barrier that limits fire spreading into the site.
Recycled content you can see
The product visibly demonstrates that waste returns to the economy — right at the point where a resident hands it in.
Digital layer: tracking via Honest Mark
- 1The resident accumulates recyclables carrying the Honest Mark label — PET bottles, aluminium cans, glass, household chemicals.
- 2In the TrashBack app they scan the site's NFC tag and the DataMatrix code on each item — the waste is personalised.
- 3After scanning, the recyclables go into the container and Ecoins are credited to the account instantly — spend them with partners or exchange them for recycled goods.
Community upkeep monitoring
After handing in waste, the resident can rate the state of the site: a photo, a score and a problem category — overflow, bulky-waste pile, dirt and smell, breakage. Ecoins are credited for the rating.

Options
The base needs no electricity or internet: all logic sits in the mobile app, and the site carries only a passive NFC tag — nothing to break, steal or maintain. Any option can be added at any time without dismantling the structure — mounting points, fixing points and cable channels are built in from the start.

Comparison for a 4-container site. On price we sit in the same range as a tubular and a brick site — we do not compete with profiled sheet on price. Profiled sheet is cheaper and brick is more vandal-resistant; in everything else the alternatives offer no tracking, no feedback and no resident motivation.

The Waste Meter
A hardware-and-software system turns a closed site from a blind spot into a measured, personalised node: it is known who handed in which fraction and how much by mass. A technical implementation of the pay-as-you-throw principle — like a water meter, but for waste.
Closed access via the app
Bluetooth opens the right compartment; a Troika card or NFC is the backup channel. Every drop-off event is personalised.
Weighing module
A mass sensor under the active container attributes the weight increase to a specific resident and fraction.
Cameras and AI
Fill-level and safety monitoring plus anti-fraud at drop-off: fraction contamination, mass inflation, removal of recyclables by outsiders.
The site is designed with mounting points for scales, cameras and power from the start. A site that has already been built cannot be retrofitted.
